Lil Boosie and C-Murder Supporting One Another...

We have learned that while rappers C-Murder and Lil Boosie are both incarcerated in Angola Prison, they have gotten in contact with one another and keep in touch.  Allhiphop.com shares:
The pair are communicating and supporting one another as they both fight for their freedom.
The long awaited verdict on whether or not C-Murder will be granted a third appeal for allegedly murdering a 16-year-old is only a month away, according Tru Records labelmate M-11.
Boosie was recently sentenced to 8 years for attempting to smuggle drugs into Angola, as he awaits his trial on a 1st degree murder charge.
M-11 of Tru Records explained that the relationship the two Louisiana rappers have developed has helped to keep each other’s spirits up.

Is anyone else wondering HOW can one take ANY advice from the other??

Eddie Long Stepping Down From the Pulpit...

Well if the sex scandal couldn't make him do it, apparently all it took for the televangelist Bishop Eddie Long to step down from the pulpit was a divorce filing.  CNN.com reports:

Bishop Eddie Long, head of one of the nation's largest mega churches, announced Sunday he will take "time off" from the pulpit to work on his family.  This announcement came three days after his wife Vanessa filed for divorce.

Although her husband's church issued a statement Friday, attributed to Vanessa Long, saying she was withdrawing the divorce petition, her attorney said she was proceeding with it.

Her attorney's statement Thursday said Vanessa Long "continues to hope that this matter may be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly."

Her divorce documents say the Longs are "living in a bona fide state of separation."

The 12-page petition adds that Vanessa Long "is entitled to a divorce upon grounds that the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken, there being no hope of reconciliation of the parties, and it being in the best interest of all parties concerned that this marriage be terminated by divorce."

In light of all that has come out about Bishop Long, it's a wonder she lasted this long.

Pauly D Added to 50 Cent's Label...

Allhiphop.com shares with us that 50 Cent has a new artist added to his roster and it is none other than Jersey Shore cast member Pauly D aka DJ Pauly D.  He has just inked a deal with 50′s G-Note Records, which specializes in Dance and Pop music where we're sure he'll have everyone "beating up the beat".

There were talks of this happening earlier in the year, but now it is official. He joins a roster that includes Hot Rod, Genasis, and singer Lea. Not only did 50 call Pauly D smart and creative, he also said that he is a “great addition to the G-Note and G-Unit family.”

We have to say that this was a smart move for 50 to cash in while these Jersey Shore kids are still hot!

Rapper Tommy Hill Passes Away...

The world of hip hop loses another one as Tommy Hill passes away over the weekend after being shot late Thursday, early Friday morning after being robbed while leaving a bar.

Allhiphop.com reports:

“He was in a bar having a good time and afterwards they shot him and robbed him,” a confidential source told AllHipHop.com. “The dudes he was with shot back, security came out and it was hectic situation.”

“He thought he was where he was safe and it turned ugly on him,” the source told AllHipHop.com. “To make it worse, word is they were like ‘what was this rat ass ni**a doing up here in the first place and he got his stuff on?’".

“People sleep on Uptown and that part of the city. [But] this is the same place Cassidy got into his situation, its just as bad as North and South Philly. He thought he was in an area where he was safe,” the source concluded to AllHipHop.com.

Hill, born John Wilson, was a member of the hip hop group R.A.M. Squad, a popular Philadelphia hip-hop group in the 80s and 90s who recorded with notables like Nelly and Sticky Fingaz.

World AIDS Day 2011...

It's the first day of December and everyone is so focused on Christmas that we here at Frequency 360 Radio would like for you to give an early gift to yourself and get tested.  Take a friend, sister/brother, cousin, or even a classmate to find out your health status.  Don't be fooled into thinking only sexually active people should be tested either since anyone who may have come in contact with an unclean needle of any kind should be also.

If you have any questions, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's website for any information you may be unclear of or to find a health department near you.  Being tested is nothing to be ashamed of and you can even grab the boo and have a date at your local health department!

It's World AIDS Day 2011 and we want you to go out and spread the word on the imperativeness of HIV/AIDS prevention.

No Album of the Year Grammy Nod for Kanye???

It's that time of year again and the 2012 Grammy Awards nominations are out and our boy Kanye West is leading the pack with a total of 7 nominations.  Although he is in the running for Rap Album of the Year with albums My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Watch The Throne with Jay-Z, his nomination for Album of the Year seems to be missing.

He's not the only one who was left out from this category either, Taylor Swift's Speak Now did not get a nomination from this partiular field along with him (of all people, right??).

However, the other artists who are in the running to receive a Grammy in various categories include but are not limited to: Rihanna, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Katy Perry, Cold Play, Christina Aguilera, Tony Bennett and the late Amy Winehouse.  J. Cole and Nicki Minaj are up for Best New Artist while Betty Wright and The Roots got a nomination for Traditional R&B Performance.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS February 12, 2012.  You know we'll be watching!
